Planofil successfully presented at the "boot 2017" in Düsseldorf
At the International Boat Show 2017 in Düsseldorf Planofil attracted many fair visitors from all over the world. We were able to gain new customers, even from the Maldives. For those who couldn't join us at the "boot 2017", here is a video explaining the advantages of Planofil as a perfect material for tarpaulins and boat covers (in English).
Light material for boat covers, tarpaulins, and awnings
Perfect protection for your boat
Through to its special PU coating, Planofil provides the perfect protection for your boat. The material is surprisingly light, highly waterproof, has very high tear resistance and is UV resistant. Being translucent, Planofil also reduces the build-up of condensation.
Surprisingly easy to handle
Compared to conventional materials, Planofil is surprisingly light. Your boat can be uncovered and re-covered again in no time, and the very small boat cover (as shown in this picture of a 28-foot sport boat) can be easily stowed anywhere. This saves time and effort.
The extremely robust fabric structure gives Planofil excellent tear resistance, even after years of use in all weather conditions. Planofil is dirt-repellent, seawater resistant and does not become brittle, even with continuous exposure to sunlight.
Very easy to process
Professionals appreciate Planofil – especially boat upholsterers who work with it daily. Planofil is extremely flexible and easy to handle. The polyester fabric is highly versatile, e.g. as a sunscreen or cover for lounge furniture. Thanks to the ecological PU coating, no plasticizer fumes are produced.
